From Brain Fog to Flow: Why I Built ErgoChi

You are probably here because something hurts.

Maybe it’s the sharp, shooting pain in your wrist that strikes every time you click a mouse. Maybe it’s the stiff neck that feels like it’s been poured with concrete. Or maybe it’s the “Brain Fog”—that heavy, cotton-wool feeling in your head around 3 PM that makes it impossible to focus on a simple spreadsheet.

I know that feeling. I lived it for years.

    The Crash

    Hi, I’m Marcus.

By profession, I am a Senior Operations Manager for a global supply chain company. My job is to stare at screens, analyze data, and optimize logistics for 12 hours a day. Efficiency is my religion.

But a few years ago, my efficiency hit a wall.

My body started to revolt against the digital grind. I developed severe RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) in my right hand. My anxiety spiked. The blue light from my monitors left me drained and sleepless. As a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), the modern office environment felt like a war zone for my nervous system.

I went to doctors. They told me to “rest.” I went to tech forums. They told me to buy “gaming gear” with RGB lights.

Neither worked. I still had to pay the bills, so I couldn’t stop working. And the flashy gaming gear just added more visual noise to my already overwhelmed brain.

    The “ErgoChi” Philosophy

Before I entered the tech world, I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

In TCM, pain is simple: Bu tong ze tong (通则不痛, 痛则不通) — “If there is free flow, there is no pain; if there is pain, there is no free flow.”

I realized my problem wasn’t just “posture.” It was Stagnation.

    • Physical Stagnation: My wrist was locking up the flow of blood.
    • Mental Stagnation: The bad lighting and noise were blocking my mental clarity (Qi).

I decided to run an experiment. I stopped looking at my desk as just a workspace, and started treating it as a Life Support System.

I combined the structural science of Western Ergonomics (the “Ergo”) with the holistic flow of Eastern Wisdom (the “Chi”).

    What You Will Find Here

ErgoChi.com is my personal laboratory. I am testing the intersection of Tech, Health, and Productivity.

I am not here to sell you junk. I am here to find the “Holy Grail” setups that allow us to work hard without destroying our bodies.

On this site, you will find:

    • RSI-Friendly Gear Reviews: I test vertical mice, split keyboards, and trackballs specifically for pain relief, not for gaming stats.
    • HSP Sanctuary Setups: How to configure your software, lighting, and sound to create a “Digital Zen” environment.
    • Bio-Hacking for Office Workers: Real, practical tips to clear Brain Fog and boost energy using data and simple TCM principles.

    A Promise to You

I am not a guru. I am a fellow worker in the trenches.

Everything I recommend on this site is something I have personally tested. If a $100 mouse feels like cheap plastic, I will tell you. If a $20 supplement actually cleared my mind, I will share the data.

The modern world requires us to be digital athletes. But nobody taught us how to recover.

Let’s fix that. Let’s heal our desks, so we can heal our minds.

    Welcome to ErgoChi.
